| Elite Driveways have installed another outstanding pattern imprinted driveway in Coppull, just outside Chorley, Lancashire.
The new drive is laid in a Grand Ashlar patttern which is both contemporary and pleasing to the eye. The series of random rectangles complemts any style of home but is especially good at making the size of the laid surface appear larger to the eye.
This particular installation is noteworthy due to the fact that the property is a new build. Although the builders had taken exceptional care with the house itself, the driveway was in a shocking state. Constant use for parking had also made the area deteriorate at an alarming pace as well.
The whole area was excavated to a depth of eight inches. A substantial sub-base of four inch MOT Grade II (as used in roads and motorways) was laid to eliminate subsidance and cracking. The concrete itself is four inch 'fibrecrete'. This is a specific concrete mix with extra strenghtening fibres. This makes the finished driveway 25% stronger than normal mixes.
There is intricate detailing to the rear of the property and aroung the manholes and gulleys. These have been encased but at the same time allow full access for any inspections or repairs.
The gradient of the drive is quite steep toward to front lip. This have been retained to aid with drainage. The upper parts of the concrete have been angled away form the house to combat any water ingress.
In summary this is a driveway which has completely transformed the putside of the property. It now has instant 'kerb appeal' and has left the owners thoroughly delighted with their investment.
